Privacy Policy
How we use the details you send us through our enquiry form, how long we keep them and what your rights are.
Who we are
Paving Leeds is the trading name of Glenn Towers, a sole trader based in Crossgates, Leeds. Glenn is responsible for the personal information described here, which makes him the “controller” under UK data protection law.
If you have any question about this policy or your information, call 0113 519 1919 or send a message through our enquiry form.
What we collect when you send an enquiry
When you use the enquiry form on our contact page, we receive what you type or attach: your name, email address, phone number, postcode, the rough length and width of the area, any photos you upload and your message.
Please only send photos of the area you want work on. If you can, avoid photos that show people or vehicle registration plates.
How we use it
We use your details to reply to your enquiry, arrange a visit if you want one, and prepare and follow up your quote. The legal basis for this is that you have asked us to take these steps before entering into a contract with you.
We keep a record of past enquiries so that we can answer questions about a quote later and recognise returning customers. The legal basis for keeping that record is our legitimate interest in running the business, limited to the period set out below.
We do not use your details for marketing, we do not add you to a mailing list, and we never sell or give your details to anyone for their own use.
Who can see it
Your enquiry is seen by Glenn and, where needed to price or carry out your job, the people working with him on it.
The enquiry form is run by our website platform, which delivers each submission to us by email and stores a copy. Our email provider holds the messages we receive and send. These providers only handle the information to provide their service to us. Some of them may process data outside the UK; where they do, they rely on the safeguards UK data protection law requires.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry details for 24 months from your last contact with us, then delete them.
If you go ahead with work, we keep the job and invoice records for as long as tax law requires.
Website analytics and cookies
Our website uses Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages are used, so we can improve the site. It uses cookies and collects information such as the pages you view, the device and browser you use and your approximate location. It does not tell us who you are, and we do not link it to your enquiry. The information is processed by Google.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, or install the Google Analytics opt-out add-on to stop Google Analytics collecting data about your visits. The website platform also sets cookies the site needs to work.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, or object to or ask us to restrict how we use it. You can also ask for a copy in a format you can pass to someone else.
To make any of these requests, call 0113 519 1919 or use the enquiry form. We will reply within one month.
Complaints
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, please tell us first so we can put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO), the UK data protection regulator, at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
