Stepped Indian stone patio, Alwoodley

A large patio on two levels in multi-coloured Indian sandstone. The upper level follows a curve out from the house, with a single step down and a contrasting edge where the paving meets the lawn. More on the stone itself on our Indian stone page.

Japanese-style garden, Bramhope

A whole-garden project built around a pond, with a red timber bridge, a rockery of plum slate, stone lanterns and planting. Sandstone paving and stepping stones set into slate chippings link the seating area to the rest of the garden. Projects like this come under our landscaping work.

Raj green Indian stone, Whinmoor

Raj green is an Indian sandstone with greens, browns and gold running through it, and it darkens noticeably when wet, as the second and third photos show. The first job here was about 60 square metres, finished with a sleeper border along the garden edge.
